My name is Beatrice, and I am asking for your support to start a small-scale catfish farming business in Lagos, Nigeria.

This is more than just a business idea to me. It is an opportunity to build a sustainable source of income for my family, involve my children in a productive family business, provide nutritious food to our community, and eventually grow into a larger commercial fish farm.

I have experience in fish farming, and we already have something very important: land where the farm can be established.

What we don't have yet is the capital needed to purchase the equipment, construct or install the fish-rearing facilities, purchase fingerlings and feed, and get the farm running.

Our initial goal is to raise approximately 2,000 catfish using concrete ponds and/or suitable plastic tanks.

We plan to sell mature fish directly to:

As the business grows, our goal is to increase production and develop the farm into a larger commercial operation.

The funds will be used to establish the farm and provide the working capital needed for the first production cycle.

Costs are estimates and may be adjusted according to current local prices when funds are raised. We will prioritize the most essential farm needs and keep proper records of expenditure.
