My dad was recently diagnosed with complete heart block, with his heart beating at just 27 beats per minute. According to the surgeon, this is an extremely dangerous condition. We have been given one week to present him for surgery to prevent further damage to his vital organs.

As a result of this condition, he has been experiencing severe weakness, dizziness, fainting episodes, gradual loss of his voice, and swelling in his legs (oedema).

The doctors have recommended the implantation of a pacemaker beneath his skin to regulate his heartbeat and maintain a more appropriate heart rate. Unfortunately, the device alone costs between ₦1,500,000 and ₦2,500,000, excluding hospital and surgical expenses.
