Mr Olayiwola Is'haq is a 72-year-old man with Parkinson’s disease being managed at the University College Hospital. He is an out-patient that's currently being seen by Dr Taiwo of the neurology department.
Prior to his illness, he was the Former State Patron, Medicine Dealer Association Lagos State Ijanikin/Iyana Ishasi branch before he was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease 4-5 years ago. The disease has progressed rapidly from muscle stiffness, slowness of movement to a serious tremor, which has since then, made him bedridden.
Ever since his diagnosis, he has been moved from Lagos to Ibadan and received treatments in the University College Hospital, UCH. According to the information provided by his daughter, his symptoms haven't been responding to medications very well. Thus, he was proposed for a surgery, which unfortunately can't be done at UCH, but requires him flying out to the country to the NEUROMODULATION CENTER, ISTANBUL, TURKEY.
The surgery costs #65 000 000. The family so far has been able to raise #47, 581, 135 and are now left with #17, 418, 865 to complete it.
